Civil Draftsperson / Estimator

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding civil contractor specialising in retaining wall systems and concrete solutions across Southeast Queensland. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for quality delivery, they are looking for an Estimator/Draftsperson to join their North Brisbane team.

What will you be doing?

- Prepare accurate cost estimates from civil plans and specifications (Using Revit)




- Produce elevation drawings and drafting documentation
- Interpret and review civil and structural designs
- Analyse labour, materials, and time requirements
- Identify discrepancies and resolve design or scope issues
- Monitor design changes and assess cost impacts
- Assist with variations and cost planning
- Work across multiple bespoke projects requiring practical problem solving
- Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Ensure all documentation meets relevant standards and requirements

What do you need?

- 1 to 5 years’ experience in estimating and/or drafting within construction
- Strong experience with Revit and Microsoft Excel (essential)
- Exposure to AutoCAD and programming concepts (highly regarded)
- Ability to read and interpret civil and structural drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Practical, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to think outside the box
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude
- Civil or structural background highly regarded
- Experience with steel or structural components (beneficial)
- Understanding of construction methodologies and engineering principles
