The Role: We are seeking experienced, motivated and reliable Casual Commis Chefs to join our busy kitchen teams. This hands-on role is ideal for someone looking to further develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment.
You will work across all areas of kitchen operations, from daily service preparation and food production to large-scale event and function catering. The successful candidate will be passionate about hospitality, thrive under pressure, and be committed to delivering high-quality food and service standards.
Tasks & responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with food preparation and service.
- Support event, function, and catering operations.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Assist with stock rotation, cleaning, and kitchen organisation.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (completed or currently undertaking) preferred.
- Pizza making experience highly regarded.
- Proven experience in high-volume service and event/function preparation is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work well within a team.
- Passionate about food and hospitality with a willingness to learn and grow.

Essential Requirements
- Available to work across a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- Own reliable transport, as the workplace is not serviced by public transport.
- Full Australian working rights.
- No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
