AJSteel is seeking a motivated, reliable and hardworking Labourer/Yardsman to join our team at our Yandina workshop.
This position is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with flexibility around working days and hours for the right applicant.
This is a hands-on role within a busy steel and aluminium business. The position involves assisting with yard and workshop duties, preparing customer orders, loading and unloading materials, and interacting with customers.
Previous experience within the steel, construction, fabrication, warehouse or manufacturing industries would be advantageous but is not essential. We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and is keen to learn.
The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience with delivery, dispatch or warehouse processes
- Ability to safely perform manual handling and lift up to 25 kg
- Forklift experience or licence is highly regarded
- Valuable level of physical fitness

- A genuine "can-do" attitude and strong work ethic
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Own reliable transport
- Ability to follow procedures and instructions thoroughly
- Presentable and professional appearance
Duties may include:
- Picking and preparing customer orders
- Loading and unloading steel and aluminium products
- Assisting customers within the yard
- General yard and workshop duties
- Maintaining a clean and organised workplace
- Assisting with deliveries and dispatch
- Manual handling of steel and aluminium products
- Operating a forklift where appropriately licensed
- Assisting other team members as required
