Cook Grade 2 (Level 3)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cook Grade 2 (Level 3) to join our kitchen team. This role is responsible for performing a range of general cooking duties and assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality meals while maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.

The successful applicant will possess the appropriate level of training and experience to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook, and present food in accordance with recipes, menu requirements, and quality standards.
- Perform general cooking duties including grilling, frying, and food preparation.
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and handling food supplies.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service delivery.





Skills and ExperienceEssential

- Appropriate cookery qualifications, training, or equivalent industry experience.
- Sound knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, as required.

Desirable

- Current Food Safety Certificate.
- Experience working in hospitality

Employment Conditions

This position is classified as Cook Grade 2 (Level 3) under the relevant Award and will be remunerated in accordance with applicable pay rates and employment conditions.

Pay: From $34.96 per hour
