Senior Operations Officer

Lead people, performance and day to day poultry operations across the Riverlands production complex in this hands on leadership role with AAM Investment Group.

About the role

Reporting to the Business Manager, the Senior Operations Officer is responsible for the day to day leadership, coordination and performance of Riverlands poultry operations across the production complex.

The role leads daily execution of poultry production activities, coordinates labour, equipment and resources, monitors operational performance, and supports achievement of production outcomes. The position plays an important role in maintaining operational standards across production, biosecurity, animal welfare, compliance and workforce management.

You will also support and develop team members, contribute to workforce planning and training, and help identify practical opportunities to improve performance, capability and resource use across the operation.

As part of AAM’s poultry assets, Riverland Free Range Poultry Farm is located in Blanchetown, South Australia. Operations are focused on delivering safe, effective and compliant poultry production outcomes through strong operational leadership, disciplined systems, animal welfare standards, biosecurity practices and continuous improvement.

About you

- Demonstrated experience in commercial poultry production operations, or a similar agricultural, livestock or production environment.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead, coach, motivate and develop operational teams.
- Strong understanding of poultry production systems, animal husbandry, biosecurity, animal welfare and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Strong planning, coordination and prioritisation skills, with the ability to respond to operational risks and issues.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and relevant operations systems.
- Current unrestricted legal right to work in Australia, noting this is a business critical role.
