Our client, Silver Shine Chassis & Trailer Pty Ltd is seeking two experienced Welders to join their team.
Job Description:
- Perform MIG, and ARC welding on steel, aluminium, and other metals to manufacture and repair chassis and related components.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents to accurately fabricate chassis components.
- Fit and weld metal components with precision, ensuring alignment and structural integrity.
- Grinding and smoothing welded joints to achieve a clean finish and meet surface standards.
- Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure adherence to safety standards and specifications.
- Identify and correct any defects or inconsistencies in the welds, ensuring the final product meets quality control standards.
- Repairing or replacing damaged metal parts by welding, cutting, or grinding.
- Monitoring the heat and temperature of the welding process to avoid overheating and ensure proper penetration.
- Grinding and smoothing welded joints to achieve a clean finish and meet surface standards.
- Maintaining accurate records of welding activities, including materials used, tasks completed, and any defects found.
- Operate welding equipment, cutting tools, and machinery following safety guidelines and procedures.
- Adhere to workplace safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with other team members such as fabricators, machinists, and production supervisors to meet production timelines.
- Provide input during production meetings to help identify potential issues and solutions in the manufacturing process.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools, conducting regular checks to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments on equipment as necessary to ensure continuous operation and reduce downtime.
Eligibility Criteria:
· Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade).
· 3 Years of Full Time Work experience as a first-class welder.
· Experienced in a variety of welding techniques and processes.
· Dedicated and hardworking, with a strong willingness to follow instructions and learn new procedures.
· Self-motivated team player, eager to collaborate and share knowledge with others.
· Solid time management skills, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
· Proactive, with the ability to take initiative and apply problem-solving skills effectively.
· Possesses clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
