URGENT HIRING – Disability Support Worker (Gracemere, QLD)

Vitium Cura is seeking a compassionate, patient, and experienced Disability Support Worker to support a young NDIS participant with Global Developmental Delay and Autism Level 3. The participant has a plan-managed NDIS plan and requires approximately 20 hours of support per week.

About the Participant

- Young child living with their mother in Gracemere, QLD
- Diagnosis: Global Developmental Delay & Autism Level 3
- Non-verbal communication
- Independent mobility
- Behavioural support needs, including emotional regulation, absconding/running away, and sensory-related behaviours
- Currently receiving allied health supports, with a strong focus on implementing therapy strategies consistently at home

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Support Worker who can:

- Provide person-centred supports in the home and community
- Assist with implementing recommendations from allied health professionals
- Support skill development through structured play and daily routines
- Promote communication, social interaction, and independence
- Support community access and social participation
- Maintain accurate progress notes and communicate with the care team




- Work collaboratively with the participant's family to achieve NDIS goals

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking someone who has:

- Experience supporting children with Autism and/or Global Developmental Delay
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies
- Experience following therapy or allied health recommendations
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- A current Driver Licence and reliable vehicle (preferred)

Mandatory Requirements

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- National Police Check
- Valid Driver Licence
- Comprehensive Vehicle Insurance (if transporting participants)
- Right to Work in Australia
