You will be required to carry out maintenance, repairs and servicing to a specialized range of equipment and machinery. This role will involve travel to various projects to perform these responsibilities. You must be experienced in repair, service and maintenance of light and heavy plant equipment.
Required:
- Minimum 3 year’s experience
- A strong work ethic, commitment to safety and a can-do-attitude
- Must have a great knowledge in the operation and maintenance requirements of heavy-duty construction equipment
- Must have the ability to diagnose defects in heavy duty equipment
- Must be able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions in the English language
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Fix any heavy plant and equipment that might break down
· Provide innovative solutions for operations, repairs, and maintenance of heavy plant and equipment
· Service and maintain a fleet construction mining equipment
· Conduct preventative maintenance on diesel engines and mobile plant
· New builds and rebuilds of equipment
· Repair and maintain machines and set proper grade
· Complete incidental welding operations on equipment
· Communicate any unsafe conditions and follow OH&S;
· Use hand and power tools in all phases of heavy equipment mechanical maintenance and repair work
