Press Brake Operator - Night Shift | Up to $47.00/hr Casual

Location: Thomastown, VIC

BC People is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing Melbourne manufacturer that is investing in its people and expanding its production team.

We're looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator who wants long-term, stable work. You'll complete your training on the day shift before moving to a night shift, where you'll earn up to $47.00 per hour (casual).

Training & Shift Pattern

You'll begin on the day shift to learn the company's products, systems and processes before transitioning to the permanent night shift.

Permanent Night Shift

- Sunday night to Thursday night
- 11:00pm – 7:00am

About the Role

Working within a busy sheet metal manufacturing setting, you'll be responsible for:

- Operating CNC press brake machinery




- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and folding plans
- Producing quality folded components to specification
- Checking dimensions and completing quality inspections
- Handling sheet metal safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience operating CNC press brake machinery
- Experience with Bystronic press brakes is highly regarded
- Ability to read technical drawings and fabrication plans
- Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and within a team
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Forklift licence highly regarded (not essential)
