Position Details

- Employment Type: Casual
- Locations: Heidelberg Heights & Coburg North (both locations are mandatory)
- Shifts: Monday to Sunday
- Availability on the weekend is essential
- Expected Availability: 3–4 shifts per week
- Operating Hours: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Start Time: Availability to commence shifts at 6:00 am is essential.

Essential Requirements

- Minimum 2 years' barista experience
- Excellent spoken and written English is essential
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent personal hygiene and presentation
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a rapid-paced environment
- Full availability to work across both locations

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages to our standards.
- Operate coffee machines and grinders.




- Deliver friendly customer service, take orders, and process payments.
- Serve pies, pastries, and other food items while maintaining food safety standards.
- Heat, plate, and present products according to shop procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station, service area, and dining area throughout the shift.
- Restock display fridges, pie warmers, takeaway packaging, and other supplies.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning tasks.
- Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, and food items, reporting shortages when required.
- Support the team during busy service periods to ensure efficient service.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Assist with training new team members when required.

Pay
The position will be paid in accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award (MA000119).
