Cook, Chef and Restaurant Manager

COMPA (AUST) MT HAWTHORN PTY LTD is looking for full time Cook, Chef and Restaurant Manager to join their business.

Cook

Duties and responsibilities:

· Prepare meals in line with the restaurant standards

· Support the ordering of food and supplies

· Care for food supplies and leftovers appropriately

· Infusing flavours by adding seasonings

· Maintain and operate the kitchen in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner the cooking process

· Prepare meals for special events and additions functions, adjusting the dishes accordingly with the dietary needs of the customers

· Artfully plating dishes with appropriate portions, accompanied by sauces, gravies, and garnishes.

· Develop menu suggestion

· Check on store food and supplies are delivered

· Controlling the temperature of ovens, grills, and various cooking equipment

· Relevant Qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification.

· At least 1 year of experience in the relevant role.

· knowledge of Italian cuisine.

Position of Cook: Full Time (at least 38 hours per week)

Chef

Duties and responsibilities:

· Create seasonal menu and other special menus;

· Inventorying food, ingredient, and supply stock to prepare and plan vendor orders; manage the budget;

· Ensure food standards, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques meet our high standards;

· Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment;

· Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation and ensure appealing plate presentation;





· Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures; - Preparing and cooking food in a timely manner;

· Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area

· Hire, train and manage kitchen staff;

· Verify compliance in preparation of menu items and customer special requests.

· Relevant Qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification.

· At least 1 year of experience in the relevant role.

· Management skills and knowledge of Italian cuisine

Position of Chef: Full Time (at least 38 hours per week)

Restaurant Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the chef to develop Menus and Specials with attention to food availability;

· Coordinate with suppliers to place orders and schedule deliveries of beverage and fresh food;

· Estimating food and beverage needed based on consumption patterns;

· Monitoring food preparations and cooking techniques to ensure quality and consistency;

· Management of staff, both kitchen and floor

· Recruiting, hiring and provide training for current employees;

· Ensuring health and safety standards and policies and procedures & regulations are maintained and followed among all staff members;

· Manage the budget of the restaurant effectively.

· Relevant Qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification.

· At least 1 year of experience in the relevant role.

· exceptional customer service and management skills and knowledge of Italian cuisine.

Salary range of all positions (Cook, Chef and Restaurant Manager): $70,000 – 90,000 per year
