The Role: Production Machine Operators – Day Shift
A leading manufacturer in the beverage industry is seeking an experienced Machine Operators to join their team on a busy automated production line. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for long-term stability.
You will be responsible for the efficient operation of automated filling, packaging, and processing machinery within a high-volume production facility. Daily overtime is available, and the role involves rotating between various tasks to support continuous production flow.
Your main duties will involve:
- Operate and monitor automated beverage filling and packaging machinery.
- Work on a production line filling and packaging cask water products.
- Ensure raw materials and packaging supplies are sufficiently stocked.
- Troubleshoot minor issues and escalate when necessary.
- Assist with changeovers and basic preventative maintenance tasks.
- Perform quality checks and maintain accurate QC documentation.
- Set up and adjust machinery, resolving basic mechanical problems.
- Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards in line with HACCP and GMP.
- Clean and sanitise production areas, equipment, and wash down machinery.
- Remove sealed boxes from conveyor and load onto pallets.
- Support safe start-up and shutdown procedures.
- Meet production targets and monitor line performance, escalating issues when required.
- Work safely, responsibly, and in compliance with company quality systems
- Matching customer labels and paperwork to orders
The Candidates:
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following experience:
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a machine operator in FMCG or similar high-speed manufacturing.
- Experience operating filling, labelling, packaging, and processing machinery.
- Robust mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery.
- Understanding of HACCP, GMP, hygiene protocols, and quality systems.
- Ability to meet production and efficiency targets.
- Excellent communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to manually load/unload materials and work on your feet.
- Previous experience with high-volume processing equipment (highly regarded).
- Own reliable transport (shift times outside public transport hours).
- Full Australian working rights required
- Forklift License advantageous and Forklift rate increase to $38 p/hr
