At the Executive Director, you will lead Queensland Treasury's Office of Social Impact and shape one of Queensland's most significant initiatives in social enterprise and impact investment by driving cutting-edge approaches that create positive outcomes for Queensland communities.

Working at the intersection of government policy, investment, philanthropy and social enterprise, you will influence state-wide priorities, cultivate high-value partnerships and provide trusted advice to senior government decision-makers. This unique executive leadership opportunity offers the chance to build sector capability, foster innovation and deliver meaningful social and economic outcomes while leading a high-performing team at the centre of Queensland's social impact agenda.

In this role, you will:
Lead strategy and program delivery:

Lead the strategic direction and operational delivery of the Office of Social Impact and the design, implementation and ongoing success of the Social Entrepreneurs Fund.
Drive the development and implementation of Queensland's social enterprise and impact investment roadmap.

Build influential partnerships

Establish and strengthen high-value partnerships across government, industry, philanthropy and the social enterprise sector.
Represent Treasury at senior forums and influence team-oriented approaches to complex social and economic challenges.

Provide executive leadership and advice

Deliver trusted strategic advice to the Treasurer, Under Treasurer and senior executives on significant policy and investment matters.
Lead a high-performing team and oversee governance, procurement and key stakeholder relationships.

What experience you will bring:
Strategic leadership and influence





Exceptional leadership capability with demonstrated success leading through complexity, consultation and change.
Advanced political acumen and the ability to build credibility and influence at senior levels.

Sector knowledge and stakeholder engagement

Proven success establishing strategic relationships across the social enterprise, impact investing or comparable sectors.
Solid experience leveraging partnerships to deliver coordinated, high-impact outcomes.

Innovation and performance

Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, continuous improvement and organisational performance.
A strong track record delivering complex programs, achieving results and leading with integrity.

Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
