We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) for a short-term contract at Miles Health Service. This role requires a nurse with strong Acute/ED and Aged Care experience, who can confidently manage a diverse caseload and work autonomously in a regional health setting.
Key Responsibilities
- - Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in Acute/ED and Aged Care settings
- - Conduct triage assessments and prioritise care appropriately
- - Provide clinical care to patients with complex needs, including ALS patients
- - Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions accurately
- - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- - Adhere to all clinical governance, safety,
and infection control protocols
- - Maintain professional standards in line with AHPRA and Queensland Health policies
Essential Criteria
- - Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- - Recent experience in Acute/ED and Aged Care settings
- - Triage competency
- - Experience working with ALS patients
- - Current NDIS Worker Screening Card
- - Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
- - Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
Desirable Criteria
- - Previous rural or regional nursing experience
- - Ability to adapt quickly in short-term contract roles
- - Solid cultural awareness and sensitivity
