We're a small, warm, trauma-informed private practice in Newborough, looking for a counsellor to join our connected little team. Whether you're early in your career or well-seasoned, if you do thoughtful, client-centred work and want a workplace that actually has your back, keep reading.

Our clinic is comfortable, not clinical. We've set it up to feel warm and home-like rather than sterile, so clients settle quickly and the work can go deeper. You'll have the ability to make your space your own, and we've also got a full sensory space and a dedicated kids' set-up, so you're well equipped for younger clients and for work that needs more than just two chairs and a box of tissues.
What you'll be doing
Trauma-informed counselling with individuals, couples, and families,



in-clinic with occasional telehealth if needed. Bring your own expertise and style to share with the team. We'll support you to stay flexible and responsive to what each client actually needs, rather than forcing the work into a rigid model. There's real room here to do meaningful, client-led work in a space set up for exactly that.
What we're looking for

- A tertiary qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline

- Current registration with a recognised professional body such as PACFA, ACA, AHPRA, or AASW

- A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check

- Warmth, clinical judgment, and a genuine commitment to client-centred, trauma-informed practice

Experience in trauma or complex work is great at any career stage, but we're just as happy to support a strong early-career practitioner to grow into it.
The details
Part time or casual, paid as per the SCHADS Award with your level based on experience, qualifications, and responsibilities. Casual loading applies. Open to subcontracting discussions for the right person.
