Hendra, Brisbane | Full-Time | Workshop-Based Role
Love working on vehicles, fitting accessories, and getting stuck into practical work?
We're looking for a mechanically minded Trades Assistant to join our Fleet team in Hendra. Supporting a fleet of 400+ vehicles, plant and equipment, you'll play a key role in preparing vehicles, fitting accessories, assisting with repairs, and keeping our fleet ready for the road.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has a genuine interest in vehicles, and wants a reliable, long-term role in a busy workshop environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- No two days are exactly the same, but your work may include:
- Fitting roof racks, toolboxes and vehicle accessories
- Installing beacons and carrying out basic wiring tasks
- Assisting Mechanics with vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Completing minor modifications and vehicle fit-outs
- Preparing vehicles and equipment for deployment
- Supporting workshop and storage area operations
Working independently once trained and confident in your tasks
What We're Looking For
You don't need to be a qualified mechanic, but you'll be someone who enjoys working on vehicles and isn't afraid to pick up the tools.
You'll bring:
- A strong mechanical aptitude and practical mindset
- Experience using hand and power tools
- An interest in vehicles, machinery or equipment
- A current unrestricted manual driver's licence
- The ability to work independently and take initiative
A reliable, hands-on approach to work
Desirable but not essential:
- Auto electrical experience
- Forklift licence
MR or HR licence
