About the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Controller/Road Tester to join our Service team based in Kirrawee!
You will play a key role in ensuring vehicle quality assurance before returning our customers vehicles to them. As the final checkpoint in the repair process, you will conduct thorough quality inspections and road tests, verifying that all repairs meet manufacturer and company standards.
This position is permanent full-time, working Monday to Friday from 7:45am to 5:00pm.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Coordinate and perform road testing and pre/post-inspections for all service vehicles, signing off on all completed repairs ensuring vehicles meet quality standards prior to customer collection
- Liaise with technicians on work carried out to identify defects or incomplete work and coordinate with technicians to resolve issues promptly
- Road test vehicles when required to confirm quality assurance and performance
- Ensure all quality control checklists, job cards, service records and documentation are accurate and complete
- Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy, free from defects and meet manufacturer standards before release
- Ability to communicate with customers if and when required on works carried out
Skills and experience:
- Appropriate trade qualifications (minimum: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology)
- Extensive knowledge of the Automotive industry, relevant legislation, quality systems, products and market – highly regarded
- Previous experience in a workshop environment as a Foreman, Quality Controller or Workshop Controller – highly regarded
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence (Class C).
