Flegler Group is looking for a reliable and experienced Packing Shed Supervisor to join our team at our Tully Gorge Road farm. This is a hands-on role based in the packing shed. This is not a stand-back supervisory role — you will be expected to supervise staff while also working on the job alongside the team.
About the Role
We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic and reliable person to fulfil a Packing Shed Supervisor role. Reporting to management, you will assist with daily packing shed operations, lead a small team, help maintain workflow and quality standards, and work directly in the shed to get the job done.
About You
You will be reliable and able to consistently turn up to work.
You will communicate well and be confident leading by example.
You will be keen to work with a company that pays above award rates and is safety conscious.
Duties and responsibilities that accompany this position:
- Supervise and support staff working in the packing shed
- Work hands-on in packing shed operations each day
- Help coordinate fruit handling, packing, presentation and general workflow
- Monitor quality, cleanliness and secure work practices
- Assist with training and day-to-day direction of team members
- Available to work 40 hours per week
- Implementation of safety processes in accordance with WHS Qld
Ideal Applicant:
- Previous packing shed or similar supervisory experience preferred
- Experience working in agricultural, food handling or industrial environments preferred
- Strong work ethic and willingness to lead while doing the work
- Ability to manage people, workflow and standards in a practical setting
Specific Position Requirements:
- A can do attitude
- Reliability, trustworthiness and tidiness are highly valued
- Good communication skills
