- Lead extensive farming operations across Thule Zone's carrot, garlic, & tomato.
- Manage large-scale teams and resources with a focus on yield and cost-control.
- Strategic leadership role with a clear path to regional management growth.

The Role
Standing at the forefront of the Australian agribusiness sector, renowned for its unwavering commitment to quality and innovation in large-scale vegetable production, Kagome Australia is seeking a highly capable and commercially minded Farming Area Manager to lead their Thule Zone operations, where you will be responsible for the end-to-end production of high-quality carrot, garlic, and tomato crops across two distinct farm sites.

In this pivotal leadership position, you will take full ownership of the annual farming plan, ensuring that every operational milestone is met with precision while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Your day-to-day will see you managing a diverse workforce that includes supervisors, permanent staff, and seasonal crews, requiring you to balance hands-on engagement in the paddock with the strategic discipline needed to manage complex budgets, labour costs, and resource allocation.

By leveraging your extensive experience in row cropping, you will implement standardised processes that drive efficiency, monitor crop inputs, and ensure that all environmental obligations and quality control standards are consistently exceeded. You will serve as the heartbeat of the farming operation,

acting as the bridge between senior management and field teams to ensure that decisions made on paper translate seamlessly into successful outcomes in the field.

The Employer
With a culture built on the core values of accountability, customer-centricity, and a positive impact on both people and the environment, they offer an environment where skilled integrity is prized, and high-performance teams are nurtured to succeed. This is an organisation that doesn't just grow crops; they develop people, offering a corporate platform that empowers managers to think strategically, innovate farming practices, and deliver results that shape the future of the industry.

As a leader within the Kagome business, you will benefit from the support of a structured corporate framework while maintaining the autonomy to make impactful decisions that drive real, measurable change across their farming footprint.

The Offer
This position offers a highly competitive remuneration package base salary plus superannuation, structured to attract a seasoned professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. In addition to financial compensation, you will be provided with a vehicle for personal use and accommodation reimbursement, ensuring that your transition to the Thule region is supported and comfortable.

The role also includes a lucrative profit-share bonus scheme that directly rewards your ability to drive performance and deliver outstanding commercial outcomes. Beyond the tangible perks, this prospect offers a clear succession pathway to broader regional management responsibilities, providing the mentorship, growth potential, and corporate exposure necessary for a dedicated leader to advance their career at a major industry player.

The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an authoritative yet approachable agricultural leader who combines deep technical expertise with the corporate flair required to manage high-stakes farming operations.

- Minimum 5 years of operational management experience in row cropping or agribusiness.
- Proven track record leading diverse teams, managing budgets, and driving performance.
- Strong technical proficiency in precision agriculture, specifically centre pivot and subsurface drip irrigation, and farm machinery.
- Respected leader capable of setting clear expectations, ensuring accountability, and mentoring staff.
- Ability to think strategically while maintaining a hands-on approach to field operations.
