HVAC Installer | Intermediate Level | Residential Climate Control
Seeking an experienced HVAC Installer or Heating and Cooling Technician to install and service residential climate control systems. This permanent full-time position offers a supportive work setting in a regional area of Victoria.
- Requirements: Relevant certification OR practical experience in HVAC installation.
- Salary: Competitive hourly rate based on skills and experience.
- Location: Geelong, Western Suburbs of Melbourne and occasionally Ballarat.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily routine involves reporting to the Geelong depot in the mornings, then traveling to customer sites. The role covers approximately:40% of work in Geelong30% in Ballarat30% in Melbourne, mainly the western suburbs
- Efficiently install ducted heating and cooling units for homes following industry standards.
- Carry out multi-unit and system upgrade installations to specifications.
- Follow established procedures while consistently meeting productivity expectations.
- Guide and support apprentices to develop technical skills.
- Conduct pre-start safety and organisation checks on site.
- Coordinate with electricians and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Record job progress and details using job management software.
- Provide professional communication and deliver excellent customer service during installations.
- Maintain protection of client properties and ensure tidy work areas.
- Assist in servicing and maintenance tasks as well as occasional commercial HVAC work if required.
