We are seeking an experienced and reliable Disability Support Worker to join a team to provide, person-centred support to a participant with complex needs. This role requires someone confident, proactive, and comfortable working with a strong personality, including the ability to set transparent boundaries and manage push back in a calm and respectful way.

The participant is active and enjoys engaging in the community, so a hands-on and adaptable approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing assistance with daily living activities.
- Assisting with cooking, cleaning, and household tasks
- Provide consistent, high-quality support in line with the participant’s care and behaviour support plans
- Build a positive and respectful working relationship while maintaining professional boundaries
- Engage the participant in activities such as bike rides, walks, sports, art, and music. Support the development of new skills and encourage the exploration of interests
- Respond to behaviours of concern with a calm, consistent, and informed approach
- Complete accurate and timely documentation,



including detailed shift notes and incident reporting
- Maintain clear communication with the broader support team

Requirements

- Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Epilepsy training
- Relevant qualifications in disability, community services and robust experience.
- Valid NDISWSC
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Morning (7am-3pm), Afternoon (3pm-9pm) and Active overnight shifts (9pm-7am) available for the right worker.
