LANDSCAPE TECHNICIAN
Build Epic Outdoor Spaces with Garden Art

Garden Art is a Brisbane-based, family-owned landscape design & construction company creating some of South-East Queensland’s most inspiring nature-play playgrounds, early learning landscapes, and bespoke outdoor spaces.

We’re growing and looking for a motivated Landscape Technician who wants more than just a job — someone who wants to learn, build, and be part of meaningful projects that kids, families and communities will enjoy for decades.

About the Role

You’ll be working hands-on across a wide variety of projects including;

- Carry out landscape construction tasks including:

- Soil preparation and mulching
- Installation of garden beds, turf, and plants
- Basic hardscape works such as edging, paving, and minor concreting
- Assisting with irrigation and drainage installations.

- Follow directions from Senior Landscape Technician or Project Supervisor and work as part of a team to achieve project goals.

- Read and understand basic elements of landscape plans and specifications and seek clarification when needed.

- Operate and care for landscaping tools and equipment including wheelbarrows, shovels, hand tools, and small power tools.

- Support site preparation, clean-up, and maintenance of a safe, organised, and hazard-free work area in accordance with WHS standards.

- Perform routine checks and assist with the upkeep of company tools, machinery, and vehicles.

- Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members and supervisors on work progress, site issues, and material needs.

- Take initiative to learn and develop skills and horticultural knowledge on the job.

- Assist senior staff in inspecting materials and completed work for quality and design compliance.

- Mini loader and excavator operation

No two days are the same.

What We’re Looking For

- Physically fit and enjoys outdoor work
- Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work
- Positive attitude and willing to learn
- Blue Card (Working with Children) – or willing to obtain
- White Card (or willing to obtain)
- Driver’s licence preferred (not essential)
- 3 years landscape experience

Why Work With Garden Art?

- Be part of a creative, supportive, and skilled team
- Work on high-end, interesting projects (not cookie-cutter jobs)
- Chance to grow into a qualified landscaper or team leader
- Family-owned business that values its people
- Above-award pay for the right person

If you love working outdoors, enjoy building things with your hands, and want to be part of something bigger than just another labouring role — we’d love to hear from you.
