About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Leading Hand with a truck licence to join our crew. This is a casual role with plenty of hours available, ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, thrives in a team environment, and has leadership capability to guide crew members on event setups.

You will be responsible for packing, transporting, and installing event hire equipment — including marquees, flooring, staging, and furniture — at a wide variety of event sites, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead onsite installation and pack down of marquees, flooring, staging, and furniture for corporate and public events
- Operate company trucks (MR or HR licence desirable) to deliver equipment to event sites
- Oversee loading and unloading of equipment at both warehouse and event locations
- Assist with the planning and preparation of equipment and materials prior to dispatch
- Supervise and support crew members during onsite setups and pack downs
- Liaise with event site managers and clients as required, representing the company in a professional manner




- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- General warehouse and yard duties as required (packing, cleaning, equipment maintenance)

Skills & Experience

- MR or HR truck licence (essential)
- Prior experience in event hire, construction, marquee installation or similar physical/outdoor work
- Leadership experience or natural leadership ability
- Strong work ethic and a proactive, hands-on approach
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early starts, late finishes and weekends as required
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
- Excellent communication and team management skills
- Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve on-site
- White Card (Construction Induction Card) desirable (or willing to obtain)

Job Types: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Shift work
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:
