Cannington Veterinary Hospital has offered personalised veterinary care to small companion animals since 1968. Our dedicated and experienced team provide professional care to cats and dogs along with a pet adoption service. Cannington will provide you with valuable experience in all facets of a small companion veterinary practice, backed by a supportive, friendly team.

The Opportunity:

We have an exciting prospect for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis (or part-time basis – we are flexible for the right person!). We are looking for someone that is equally comfortable on reception or in theatre, who loves what they do.

- We are also open to any casual or locum nurses who are looking for extra shifts while we are recruiting for our next super-star permanent team member.

Responsibilities will include:

- Providing support to our veterinarians in all aspects of vet nursing
- Provision of high standard patient and customer care
- Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment
- Assisting with reception and administration tasks as required

To be successful for this position, you will have:

- Certificate IV qualified and registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Previous experience as a Vet Nurse, with knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures would prove beneficial.
- An empathetic, caring person that always advocates for their patients.
- An eye for detail,



a good work ethic and a willingness to keep learning and improving both themselves and the practice.
- An ability to work well in a team and genuinely support the team
- Initiative and good time management skills.
- Must be available to work a rotating Saturday (1 in 4)
