About the role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Survey of vessels during newbuilding stage with particular focus on governmental vessels (Defence and Border Force related)
- Taking full ownership of project execution across all phases
- Planning, coordinating, and continuously improving operational activities in alignment with DNV strategy
- Performing meticulous project control and reporting
- Ensuring excellent service delivery and effective after-sales support
- Providing proper training and information to team members regarding safety procedures

About you
In this role, you will be at the forefront of naval maritime projects, with responsibilities including:
- Leading end-to-end newbuilding projects from initial sales handover through to successful delivery
- Acting as the primary point of contact between shipyards, vessel owners’ representatives, and internal DNV teams
- Coordinating multidisciplinary teams while promoting strong cross-functional collaboration
- Developing leadership skills through the management of diverse stakeholder relationships
- Advising clients on regulatory requirements within the maritime industry
You will play a key role in:
- Ensuring vessels comply with the highest standards of safety and environmental performance
- Delivering consistent, high-quality services that reinforce DNV’s strong industry reputation
- Driving strategic Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices to safeguard teams and reduce operational risks
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with key clients and industry partners
Requirement:
- Eligibility to obtain the necessary security clearances to work on Australian Defence assets is essential
