Junior Animal Attendant

Royal Rover Dog Boarding Kennels

Requires a casual Junior Animal Attendant for our busy boarding kennel.
We have several very long-term employees that love their jobs, flexible hours, working with animals.
Here is a list of duties.

Duties:

Cleaning Kennels.
Handling all breeds of dogs.
Walking dogs’ (one on one).
Bathing, blow-drying, basic grooming.
Supervising exercise time.
Preparing meals, cutting-packing meat.
Poop scooping yards.
Washing up.
Washing dog blankets/towels.
Working outdoors in all weather.

Animals depend on people for everything, food, water, exercise, the chance to toilet outside of their kennel, a clean environment and, they require it every day. We have a big enough team that you won’t be required every weekend or, public holiday but, you will need to take your turn and pull your weight.
We are a fun team of people and, we take our responsibilities for the animals in our care very seriously.

We need someone with an animal background, (horse people are ideal,) young people that have grown up around dogs. If you would like to eventually go on to be a groomer, trainer, vet or vet nurse,



you will not find a better environment to gain experience and confidence than here.
There is some hard work involved but, we will train the correct applicant and, the rewards are endless.

Own transport essential, there is no public transport and someone to pick you up and drop you off will not work.

We understand you probably won’t have much on a resume, we need a letter of introduction.
Such a letter will state your full name, why you want to work with animals and, any experience you have, (your own animals count.)
Any AI generated letters will be discarded.

Pay: $18.68 – $31.58 per hour
