About the role

We are seeking an Aviation Catering Delivery Team Member to join Inflight Services Australia - Sky Snacks in Townsville, Queensland. This is a part-time position that plays a vital role in our airline catering operations. As a Catering Delivery Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring that meals, beverages, and catering supplies are efficiently and safely delivered to aircraft.

This role is essential to maintaining our high standards of service and ensuring that passengers receive quality refreshments during their flights. You will work on-site at our Townsville airport facility, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our catering service.

Key responsibilities

1. Loading and unloading catering trolleys, containers and supplies from delivery vehicles to aircraft in a timely and organised manner
2. Ensuring all catering items are securely positioned and properly stored according to safety and hygiene standards (HACCP certified operation)
3. Verifying inventory and cross-checking catering orders against delivery manifests to ensure accuracy
4. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of catering delivery vehicles and equipment
5. Operating equipment such as catering lifts and trolleys safely and responsibly
6. Communicating effectively with flight crew and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules
7. Adhering to all food safety, health and safety, and security protocols
8. Supporting the broader catering team to meet delivery deadlines and maintain service standards

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in aviation catering delivery and airport driving preferred
2.



Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict delivery schedules
3. Physical capability to lift, carry and manoeuvre heavy items and catering equipment regularly
4. Basic numeracy and literacy skills
5. Robust attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in inventory and order verification
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
7. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, or willingness to obtain relevant certifications
8. Familiarity with airline or aviation industry operations (desirable)
9. Current driving licence (MR/HR/HC desirable) - Experience with hi-lift trucks = bonus!
10. Flexibility to work variable shifts, including early mornings or late evenings, as required by flight schedules
