THE OPPORTUNITY

The Head Coach – Netball provides strategic leadership of Somerset College's netball program, driving participation, player development and performance excellence. This role inspires students and coaches, fosters an inclusive and high-performing culture, and supports the continued growth of netball across the College.

This is an exciting prospect for an experienced netball leader to build on a strong tradition of success and develop the next generation of confident, resilient student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee Somerset College's netball program, driving participation, development and performance

Coach student-athletes and support coaches across all levels of the program

Manage team selections, training, competitions and athlete development pathways

Mentor coaching staff and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence

Oversee program operations, including planning, budgets, events and logistics

Build strong relationships with students, families, staff and the wider netball community

Promote inclusion, wellbeing, sportsmanship and positive sporting experiences

Monitor program outcomes and drive the continued growth and success of netball at Somerset College

ABOUT YOU

You're an energetic and inspiring netball leader who is passionate about developing student-athletes and building a positive, high-performing sporting culture.

Proven experience in netball coaching, program leadership and athlete development

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage teams, competitions and events effectively

The ability to inspire, mentor and support players and coaches across all levels





Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, families, staff and stakeholders

A commitment to fostering inclusive participation, sportsmanship and performance excellence

Sound judgement, professionalism and a values-driven approach to leadership and student wellbeing

Attainment of relevant Netball coaching qualifications and hold a valid Working with Children (Blue Card) or a willingness to obtain
