About the Roles
- Waste Truck Operators: Operate waste collection vehicles, transporting waste materials and recyclables between depots and service locations, ensuring safe and efficient waste disposal and recycling operations throughout various locations in Darwin.
- Liquid Truck Operators: Drive specialised liquid waste trucks for the safe collection and transportation of liquid waste products. Candidates with experience in liquid transport operations will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to clients and contribute to the smooth operation of waste collection and recycling processes.
- Perform assigned duties safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained and in good working condition.
- Work collaboratively with the team and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Skills and Qualifications
- Valid and current license for truck operator roles (HR, HC or MC).
- Knowledge of Darwin suburbs and surrounding areas.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- A commitment to workplace safety and environmental sustainability.
- Experience in the waste management or recycling industry is advantageous, but not essential.
- Candidates must be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing.
