Sales Assistant – Full Time | Permanent – Browns Plains

Join our team at Taubman’s Trade Centre in Browns Plains as a full-time Sales Assistant. The role requires 38 hours per week, rostered during the store’s opening hours of 6:30 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional Saturday shifts between 7 am and 11:30 am.

No prior paint or hardware experience is needed; comprehensive on‑the‑job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

- Provide outstanding customer service and build relationships with customers
- Collaborate with the Store Manager, Store Team & Trade Team to maximise sales potential
- Tint paint, mix colours, pelletise paint drums and arrange orders for delivery
- Assist with deliveries using the company vehicle when applicable
- Merchandise and replenish stock promptly, ensuring a well‑presented store
- Maintain store housekeeping and adhere to safety standards
- Perform manual handling tasks related to paint tins and other store items

Requirements

- Retail assistant experience with a focus on excellent customer service
- Openness to learning new skills and commitment to developing product knowledge




- Flexibility to work a 38‑hour roster from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work
- Comfortable with manual handling (lifting heavy paint tins, operating pallet jacks, etc.)
- Valid driver’s licence required
- Training provided for paint product knowledge
