About the Role

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Plumber to join our Facilities Maintenance team. This position performs a full range of plumbing maintenance, repair, and inspection duties across residential and compound properties, ensuring compliance with both Australian and U.S. plumbing codes.

Duties

- Plumbing Maintenance & Oversight: Perform routine and emergency plumbing repairs, inspections, and minor construction on residential properties. Oversee contractor plumbing work for code compliance, conduct video inspections of drainage systems, and maintain equipment records and work orders.

- Gas & LPG Systems: Install and maintain natural gas and LPG plumbing for appliances and heating systems, ensuring protected, leak-free, code-compliant operation, and coordinating with utility providers as needed.

- Drainage Systems: Inspect, repair, and maintain sanitary and storm water drainage systems, clear blockages using high-pressure equipment, and ensure backflow prevention devices meet licensing requirements.

- Restricted Electrical Work: Perform permitted electrical work on gas and electric hot water systems, ensuring proper wiring and maintaining solar hot water heating systems.

- Contractor Oversight & Emergency Response: Inspect and approve contracted plumbing work, serve as backup for after-hours emergency repairs, and operate official vehicles as needed.

Skills and Experience

Master Plumber license, including:

- Completion of a five (5)



year vocational college program equivalent to college-level studies, required to become a qualified licensed plumber

Licensing/Certifications/Training:

- Australian licensed and registered plumber, drainer, and gas fitter

- Unrestricted driving license held for 5 years

- "Type A" gas appliance accreditation for domestic appliances

Work Experience:

- Five (5) years of post-trade experience in plumbing, drainage, and gas fitting
