About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you'll support participants in their homes and communities, helping them build independence, develop skills, and engage in the activities that matter most to them.

No two days are the same. You may be supporting participants with:

- Community access and social activities

- Building life skills and independence

- Personal care and daily living supports

- Domestic assistance and meal preparation

- Transport to appointments and activities

- Developing routines and achieving personal goals

- Supporting participants with mental health and psychosocial disabilities

- Providing emotional support and encouraging community participation

- Completing case notes and maintaining accurate records

What We're Looking For
Essential:

- Current Australian Driver's Licence

- Reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle

- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

- Good computer skills and ability to use mobile apps

- Strong communication and documentation skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or Mental Health

- Previous experience in disability, aged care, mental health or community services

- Experience supporting participants with complex behaviours, mental health or high support needs

- Experience providing personal care and supporting participants with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, toileting and mobility assistance.

- Medication administration experience

- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and person-centred practice
