Does Homelessness touch a nerve with you? Are you wondering what you can do? Are you a registered nurse?
360 Health + Community's Street Doctor program is all about improving the health & wellbeing of homeless, transient & disadvantaged people in Perth and we are offering a rare opportunity to join our casual pool of dedicated Registered Nurses. This role is the perfect place for your compassion, collaboration and integrity to shine through as you work together in a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic and culturally appropriate primary health care from, well, the back of a truck.
If you would like to practice in a non-traditional setting, we welcome you to join our incredible team. Your scope of practice will include triage, first aid assistance, assessment, therapeutic care & treatment, diagnostic services, clinical data management and pathology collection. Sound familiar? This means you'll be a key contributor to the management and prevention of ill health in those who would otherwise miss out on health screening, immunisation, acute and chronic disease management and outreach services.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant qualifications and training as a registered nurse with current AHPRA registration (experienced enrolled nurses may be considered)
- Excellent patient planning and care management skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills for a range of clinical and patient audiences
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Experience working in mental health and with alcohol and other drugs (desirable)
- The capacity to work and act flexibly in a agile team environment
- National Police Clearance within the last 6 months or willingness to obtain
- Working with Children Check
- Driver's Licence
- Current CPR and First Aid
The hourly rate for this position is from $40.13 + 25% casual loading + superannuation. You can access the full salary packaging benefit for tax free income of $15,900 per annum.
