Are you a qualified Mechanical Fitter looking for a secure, long-term opportunity with one of the South West's leading manufacturing operations?

We are currently recruiting for multiple Mechanical Shift Fitters to join established maintenance teams across several fixed plant manufacturing sites throughout the South West of Western Australia. These permanent positions offer an excellent salary package of circa $150,000 + superannuation, ongoing career development and the opportunity to work on modern automated production equipment.

To support candidates relocating to the region, short-term accommodation can be provided while you settle into your new role.

The Opportunity

As part of a highly skilled maintenance team, you'll play a key role in ensuring plant reliability through preventative maintenance, breakdown response and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a hands-on role where no two shifts are the same. You'll be fault finding, repairing and maintaining a wide range of mechanical equipment including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, rotating equipment and production machinery to maximise plant performance and minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance across fixed plant equipment




Respond efficiently to mechanical breakdowns and equipment failures
Diagnose faults and implement effective repair solutions
Install, overhaul and maintain a variety of mechanical assets
Work closely with production teams to maximise plant availability
Complete maintenance documentation and work orders
Contribute to continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
Maintain a strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards
Shift Roster

You'll enjoy a rotating day and night shift roster that provides regular extended breaks throughout the month.

Day Shift: 5:00am - 5:00pm
Night Shift: 5:00pm - 5:00am

Roster Pattern

Week 1

2 Day Shifts
3 Night Shifts
2 Days Off

Week 2

2 Days Off
3 Day Shifts
2 Night Shifts

Week 3

5 Days Off
2 Day Shifts

This roster provides an excellent work-life balance, with regular long weekends and a five-day break built into every cycle.

About You

To be considered for these opportunities, you will possess:

Certificate III Engineering - Mechanical (Mechanical Fitting) or equivalent trade qualification (essential)
Experience maintaining fixed plant, manufacturing or industrial processing equipment
Robust fault-finding and diagnostic abilities




Experience working with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment
The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative maintenance team
A proactive attitude towards safety, reliability and continuous improvement
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Experience within food manufacturing, timber processing, mining, agriculture, recycling, heavy industry or other industrial processing environments will be highly regarded but is not essential.
