St Simon Peter Early Learning Centre has an exciting opportunity for a passionate qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis.
Our 25-place, multi-age Long Day Care service caters for children aged 2–5 years and is located within the grounds of St Simon Peter Catholic Primary School in Ocean Reef. As part of our Early Learning Service, we also operate a Three-Year-Old Kindy program and an Outside School Hours Care Service, creating a strong sense of community and continuity for children and families.
Our centre features large indoor and outdoor learning environments, is well resourced, generous budgets, and exciting weekly incursions including Happy Feet and Nutmegz Education.
We are committed to supporting our educators by offering paid access to gaining higher qualifications and ongoing professional learning and development opportunities. The Service has qualified cleaners attend daily.
About the Role
As a Qualified Early Childhood Educator, you will work collaboratively with our leadership team and fellow educators to deliver high-quality education and care in a nurturing, inclusive, and child-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, implementation and evaluation of engaging learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Complete observations and planning cycles.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean and stimulating learning environment.
- Support children's wellbeing, development and learning through intentional teaching and play-based experiences.
- Ensure Service policies, procedures,
and regulatory requirements are followed.
- Plan and assist with special events and family engagement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with a team

Essential Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.
- Current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one
- National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain.
- Australian working rights.
Knowledge and Experience
Desirable attributes include:
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Regulations and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Experience working in an early childhood setting.
- A commitment to ongoing professional learning and continuous improvement.
