Number of Positions: 100 We are looking for Process Workers, Packers and Laborers. These roles are covered under the Meat Industry Award 2022.
The work environment can involve hot or cold temperatures (0–4°C in chilled areas), exposure to meat processing conditions, and repetitive, rapid paced and physically demanding tasks. Required Aptitudes: To perform this role, workers must be able to:
- Carry out repetitive manual handling, including lifting up to 15–20kg
- Stand for long periods (8–10 hours per shift)
- Work safely in cold and hot environments
- Perform tasks at fast line speeds
- Follow strict hygiene, safety and QA procedures
- Use knives or simple tools where required (training provided)
REMUNERATION
- Base rate: Start from $25.65 per hour (Meat Industry Award 2022)
- Penalty rates for afternoon/evening, weekend and public holiday work
- Overtime rates beyond ordinary hours
- Applicable allowances (e.g., knife allowance, cold work allowance)
