About us
At AngloGold Ashanti, we pride ourselves on having a collaborative workplace that is focused on providing a safe and inclusive environment for all. We want to create an workplace where people feel comfortable to bring their whole, authentic self to work and feel safe, respected, and valued while doing so.
AGA is one of the world's largest gold producers with operations and projects spanning across four continents. Our globally diverse, world-class portfolio is supported by focused exploration in the established and new gold producing regions of the world. We offer a working environment that allows every employee to contribute, learn and flourish.
In Australia we own and manage the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, and the Tropicana Gold Mine (70% AGA owned 30% Regis Resources). These are two of Western Australia’s premier gold operations, with ongoing investment and exploration taking place across both open pit and underground operations at each site.
More than just another shift on a mineral processing plant.
Safety first. Equipment that works. Clear procedures. The type of things that should be par for the course for a Process Technician.
Throw in training, the right support and development, and a structured pathway for promotions, and it starts to feel like your effort is recognised with rewards, rather than words.
That’s what this job is about.
The job
We are seeking Process Technicians to join our team at both our Sunrise Dam Gold mine and Tropicana Gold mine. These roles will be fulltime permanent positions FIFO on a 8/6 roster.
You’ll keep the processing plant running at its best. That means making sure gold recovery,
throughput and resources stay on track. Procedures will guide you, but you’ll still rely on your own judgment and initiative.
You’ll work closely with metallurgical and maintenance teams, making sure safety, performance and technical challenges are handled. You’ll keep a close eye on performance through sampling, analysis, inspections, and log keeping. When equipment doesn’t perform as it should, you’ll spot it, report it, and roll up your sleeves to fix it.
It’s work that’s physically demanding and requires attention to detail. But it’s also work that rewards you with running a plant, solving problems that matter, and playing a direct role in producing something valuable.
About you
You’ll need to bring proven experience in a highly autonomous mineral processing plant and in gold. A strong mechanical aptitude is essential, as is a current WA C Class Driver’s License.
You won’t mind working outdoors in conditions that can be tough (hot and cold), and you’ll be fine with the physical side of the job.
Your problem-solving skills will serve you well, as will your ability to communicate clearly. If you’ve used Microsoft Office and SCADA, these will be a bonus.
Culture and Benefits:
We foster a workplace built on dignity and respect. We offer challenging work, competitive pay that’s regularly reviewed, and opportunities for growth opportunities. At AGAA, learning is a shared responsibility, and your development matters to us. Your benefits will include:
- Top Tier Gold Cover Private Health Insurance for you and your family (fully paid).
- Flexible working policy.
- Attractive Annual Bonus.
- Prospect to work for an endorsed WORK180 and an accredited Menopause Friendly employer.
- 26 weeks primary and 8 weeks secondary paid Parental Leave.
