Ganley Group - Where hospitality feels like home.
We bring together six distinct venues, each with its own story and set within historic, character-rich buildings. All are shaped by the same belief: great hospitality is built on warmth, welcome and the details that make people want to stay a little longer.
Ganley Group Hospitality Purveyors Company is home to a growing collection of pubs and dining rooms across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, including The Fifth Province, Freddie Wimpole’s, Angus & Bon, The Bay Hotel Mornington, The Windsor Castle Hotel and The Carlton Club.
We live for the invisible details of a good room: the glow of the lighting, the comfort of the stool, the pace of service, the feeling that everything is exactly as it should be. When those details are right, they go unnoticed. When they are not, everyone feels it. That is the quiet craft of making guests feel at home.
An outstanding opportunity is now available for an experienced Venue General Manager to permanently join the team, initially as a parental leave replacement at our largest venue The Fifth Province; an authentic Irish pub in the heart of St Kilda. The carefully and thoughtfully restored Windsor Castle in Windsor; known for its beer garden, hearty pub fare and easy neighbourhood feel then awaits for the successful candidate to lead and manage.
The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance, culture, standards, brand integrity and profitability. You will be leading all day-to-day operations, managing staff and finances, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, business sustainability and consistency. Other key responsibilities include driving sales while maintaining compliance with licensing, health and safety standards; managing relationships with suppliers, service providers and stakeholders and working with group senior management on long-term strategy and venue development.
To be considered you will need proven experience as a General Manager or Senior Manager in a pub or hospitality venue, strong leadership and people-management skills and sound financial and business acumen. You will also need to have excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, be commercially minded and have the ability to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
With the prospect of overseeing the Windsor Castle remain an iconic local for years to come after first managing the five distinct spaces under one roof at The Fifth; the the potential to develop and take your career to the next level is unlimited, all whilst enjoying 30% off all food and beverages across all Ganley Group Hospitality venues.
