Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for Steel Frame Carpentry Apprentices to work with our skilled and valued Host Employers across Adelaide.
These are full time positions. As an apprentice you will undertake a Certificate III in Carpentry. This is a 4-year apprenticeship, where you will learn on the job to become a skilled and qualified carpenter.
What does a Steel Frame Carpenter do?
The main role of a carpenter is to construct, erect, install, finish and repair structures and fixtures on residential and commercial buildings. You may also undertake the following:
- Fixing architraves to steel frames.
- Fixing walls and ceilings to steel frames.
- Fixing Door jams to steel frames.
- Work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry.
- Be willing to work on big commercial sites.
Position Requirements
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical.
- Hold a current Driver's Licence and be willing to travel due to changing sites.
- Willingness to learn and develop current skills in this trade.
- Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual labour.
- Be able to use initiative and communicate well to work in a team.
- Hold a current White Card (or be willing to obtain prior to starting).
