Bathurst

At Ayme Staffing, we prioritise your career aspirations and strive to find the perfect role that aligns with your unique lifestyle. We understand the challenges that come with navigating the job market, and that's why we go the extra mile to understand where you are in your career journey and what you're seeking in your next opportunity.

We’re partnering with a premium, family-owned rural hospitality destination just outside Bathurst. Renowned for its luxury accommodation, weddings, private events and wellness facilities, our client is committed to delivering memorable guest experiences through outstanding presentation, attention to detail and genuine country hospitality.

We’re looking for an Estate Hand who will play a key role in caring for and continually improving a premium country property.

About the Role

This isn’t a traditional maintenance position where you’ll spend your day responding to work orders. It’s an opportunity to become the custodian of a beautifully presented estate, taking pride in maintaining, repairing and improving the property while helping create exceptional experiences for every guest.

You’ll have the opportunity to build, improve and help grow the property as the estate expands over the coming years. Set across 170 acres, the property features luxury accommodation, wedding and event spaces and an expanding wellness precinct including a heated pool, spa, sauna and recreation facilities. As the business continues to grow, you’ll help shape it’s future through ongoing maintenance, practical improvements and new projects.

This chance would suit someone who enjoys variety, works well independently and gets real satisfaction from leaving a property better than they found it.

Key responsibilities in the role include:

Estate Maintenance

- Carry out general repairs across all buildings, accommodation and guest facilities.

- Repair doors, gates, fences,

decks and timber structures.

- Complete painting, touch-ups and general cosmetic improvements.

- Perform minor plumbing, irrigation and maintenance repairs.

- Assemble, install and repair furniture, fixtures and fittings.

- Undertake preventative maintenance to minimise future issues.

- Identify and proactively rectify maintenance concerns before they become problems.

Grounds & Property Presentation

- Mow lawns and maintain grounds around accommodation and event spaces.

- Operate light plant, mowers, brush cutters and other property equipment.

- Maintain gardens, paddocks, pathways and outdoor guest areas.

- Assist with weed management and general estate presentation.

- Ensure the property always reflects the premium standard.

Guest Facilities

Maintain and repair all guest-facing facilities including:

- Luxury accommodation.

- Wedding venue and event spaces.

- Reception and guest amenities.

- Outdoor entertaining areas.

- Fire pits and gathering spaces.

- Heated pool.

- Spa and sauna.

- Wellness amenities.

- Pickleball court and recreation facilities.

- Outdoor furniture and guest infrastructure.

Property Improvements

- Assist with constructing new guest facilities and improvements.

- Build and install small capital works and infrastructure.

- Help deliver new projects as the business continues to evolve.

- Support contractors where required.

- Suggest practical improvements to the estate.

Events & Operations

- Assist with wedding and event setup and pack down.

- Move furniture and equipment.

- Support the wider team during busy operational periods.

- Assist with miscellaneous property tasks wherever required.

About You

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who enjoys fixing things, and making improvements across the property. You may be a former carpenter, builder, farmer, mechanic or tradesperson looking for a rewarding and varied role. You may be someone who has extensive experience working with your hands and takes pride in doing quality work. We’re far more interested in practical ability and attitude than formal qualifications for this role.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Takes enormous pride in practical workmanship.

- Has exceptional attention to detail.

- Can turn their hand to almost anything.

- Prefers fixing something rather than replacing it.

- Notices problems before other people do.

- Enjoys working outdoors, is physically fit and comfortable undertaking an active role.

- Likes variety in their work.

- Takes ownership of their responsibilities.

- Is proactive and notices things without needing to be asked.

- Works efficiently while maintaining a premium standard.

- Has a friendly, positive personality around guests and colleagues.

- Enjoys being part of a small, close-knit team.

How to Apply

This a great long-term opportunity to work in one of the Central West’s most unique hospitality businesses and become part of a close-knit team where your contribution genuinely shapes people’s most memorable experiences.

If you’re someone who takes pride in creating exceptional spaces and wants to make a genuine difference to every guest’s experience, we’d love to hear from you.
