Or client seeks an experienced UKG Test Lead to take ownership of end-to-end testing across a major scheduling, time and attendance implementation.
This role will lead test planning, preparation, execution, defect management and reporting across functional, integration, regression, user acceptance and parallel payroll testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the overall test strategy, test plan, schedule and entry and exit criteria.
- Review business requirements covering rostering, shifts, timesheets, attendance, overtime, breaks, leave and approvals.
- Create detailed test scenarios, test cases, test data and employee personas.
- Lead functional testing across UKG rostering, time capture, attendance and approval workflows.
- Coordinate integration testing across UKG, payroll, HR systems, APIs and file-based interfaces.
- Lead and support user acceptance testing with business stakeholders.
- Coordinate parallel payroll testing and validate payroll outcomes.
- Manage defects through Jira, including triage, prioritisation, retesting and closure.
- Confirm test environments and data are ready for each testing phase.
- Provide regular reporting on test progress, coverage, defects, risks and issues.
- Provide an evidence-based go or no-go recommendation.
- Support cutover, post-deployment verification and production defect monitoring.
- Maintain strong communication across project, payroll, HR, technical and vendor teams.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a Test Lead on UKG, workforce management, payroll, HRIS or time and attendance projects - MANDATORY
- Experience with UKG Dimensions or UKG Pro Workforce Management -MANDATORY
- Solid understanding of rostering, scheduling, time capture, attendance and payroll business rules.
- Experience leading functional, integration, regression, UAT and parallel payroll testing.
- Strong defect management and test reporting experience.
- Experience using Jira or a similar test and defect management tool.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and risk escalation skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of testing outcomes.
Highly Regarded
- - Experience testing payroll and HR integrations.
- Knowledge of APIs, SFTP, batch files and interface testing.
- Experience working within a large, complex organisation.
- Previous higher education experience.
