Australia Wide Supports (AWS) assists individuals living with significant and complex Brain Disorders (Mental Illness, Acquired Brain Injury, Autism, Behavioural and Neurodegenerative Disorders) to lead meaningful lives. We currently have a Full-Time vacancy for an experienced NDIS Support Coordinator to lead our Melbourne and Geelong team, supporting complex participants to achieve their NDIS plan goals.
As Lead Support Coordinator at AWS, you will hold a participant caseload while also providing clinical oversight, quality assurance, and day-to-day leadership to a team of Support Coordinators. You will be the key point of escalation for complex cases, and a driver of best practice across the coordination team.
Tasks & responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of NDIS participants with complex support needs, including those with psychosocial, cognitive, or dual disabilities
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and day-to-day support to a team of Support Coordinators
- Conduct regular case review meetings and provide escalation support for complex or at-risk cases
- Review coordinator documentation, NDIS reports, and progress notes for quality and compliance
- Identify training needs within the team and support professional development
- Contribute to continuous improvement of coordination practice across AWS
Essential for the role:
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in NDIS Support Coordination, with demonstrated experience in complex cases
- Tertiary Qualification in Mental Health or relevant to the field of human services or allied health
- Strong understanding of the NDIS framework, price guide, practice standards, and planning processes
- Experience supporting people with complex presentations including psychosocial disability, ABI, Autism, or dual diagnosis
- Proven leadership or mentoring experience, formal or informal
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing for NDIS plan reviews
- Solid organisation, time management, and caseload management skills
