The Northwest region is entering an exciting phase of growth. As we continue expanding our Heavy Lift capability and regional footprint throughout the Pilbara and Northern Australia, we're seeking a Regional Superintendent to help drive the next stage of our success and help shape the future direction of one of Australia's leading crane businesses.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will join our operational team based at our Port Hedland office on a fulltime local 5 days on / 2 days off basis, where you will provide leadership across operational delivery, commercial growth and regional expansion throughout the Pilbara as the Regional Superintendent – North West.

Working closely with our Regional Superintendent – Operations and wider leadership team, you'll oversee safe and efficient operational delivery while identifying and securing new opportunities across mining, heavy industrial, and major project sectors. You'll be instrumental in growing our Heavy Lift capability, developing key customer relationships and supporting the establishment of new regional operations throughout Western Australia.

This autonomous role is suited for a leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, developing customer relationships and influencing future regional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

- Provide leadership and support across regional operations.

- Assist with planning and execution of shutdowns, projects, and complex lifts.

- Support Supervisors and operational teams to deliver safe, efficient outcomes.





- Mentor frontline leaders and develop high-performing teams.

- Improve labour and asset utilisation across the region.

Business Growth & Client Engagement

- Develop and strengthen relationships with Tier 1 mining companies, major contractors and key industrial clients.

- Identify and secure new business opportunities across the Pilbara and Northern Australia.

- Support major tenders, contract negotiations, and commercial growth initiatives.

- Drive customer retention through responsive service and operational excellence.

- Expand BOOM's Heavy Lift and Major Projects capability.

- Identify opportunities to improve operational systems, service delivery, and regional capability.

- Contribute to strategic planning, workforce development and long-term regional growth initiatives.

Heavy Lift & Major Projects

- Provide technical leadership for Heavy Lift and crawler crane projects.

- Assist with lift planning, project execution, and customer engagement.

- Assist project teams through mobilisation, execution, and completion phases.

- Provide operational expertise to ensure safe, efficient and commercially successful project outcomes.

About You

You're an experienced operational leader who combines strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness and the ability to build trusted customer relationships. To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Robust previous leadership experience within crane, heavy lifting, mining, construction, industrial maintenance, or major projects.

- Experience within Heavy Lift and crawler crane operations is highly advantageous.





- Proven success in developing customer relationships and securing new business opportunities

- Experience delivering shutdowns, maintenance or major project work, and managing operational teams across multiple sites and projects.

- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, profitability, operational performance, and an understanding of operational profitability.

- Excellent leadership, coaching and mentoring skills, with a collaborative style focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and customer service.

- Strong understanding of operational planning, resource management, equipment utilisation, and organisational capability.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, lifting standards, and risk management processes
