About the Role
This is more than simply operating machinery.
You'll play an important role in ensuring production equipment operates efficiently while supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
- Machine changeovers and equipment set-ups
- Basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
- Optimising machine performance and productivity
- Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives
- Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Training and mentoring machine operators
- Working closely with production and maintenance teams
- Maintaining high safety and quality standards
About You
To be successful, you'll have:
- Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing environment
- Experience carrying out machine changeovers and machine set-ups
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Solid communication and leadership skills
- The ability to train and mentor others
- A commitment to workplace safety
Highly Regarded
- Certificate III in a Mechanical Trade or Engineering
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- Preventative maintenance experience
Shift Flexibility
The successful candidate will initially work one of the following shifts:
- 6:00am – 2:00pm
- 10:00am – 6:00pm
As the business continues to grow, there may also be an opportunity to work a 4:00pm – Midnight shift in the future, so flexibility around working hours is essential.
