Haven Medical Care is a family-friendly, multi-disciplinary practice located in beautiful Terrigal, NSW. We're proud to offer a modern, welcoming space with a solid focus on patient care and team collaboration. As we grow, we're looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our supportive team on a casual basis (2–3 days/week) — with the potential to move into a permanent role.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and enjoys being the friendly face that welcomes patients. You'll work closely with our doctors, nurses and allied health professionals, ensuring the front desk runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and manage appointments (in person & via phone)
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Process billing, invoicing, and EFTPOS payments
- Manage incoming/outgoing emails and correspondence
- Scan documents and maintain digital records
- Support clinical staff with daily admin needs
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive workplace culture
About You
We're looking for someone who is warm,
capable and highly organised. You'll need to bring:
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist (essential)
- A minimum of 6-12 months of medical receptionist experience
- Experience with Best Practice software (preferred)
- Experience with Best Practice or similar medical practice software is preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and stay calm under pressure
- A high level of integrity and confidentiality
- Professional presentation and a friendly, patient-first attitude
- Australian work rights are required for this position
