About the role

Civic Pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our team in Ringwood, VIC 3134. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care and services to our community. As a Pharmacist, you will be at the forefront of our patient-centred approach, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications whilst maintaining the highest standards of skilled practice. Key responsibilities

- Dispense medications accurately and safely, verifying prescriptions and ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements

- Provide professional pharmaceutical advice to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions

- Conduct medication reviews and contribute to the optimisation of patient medication regimens in consultation with other healthcare professionals

- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient medication records in accordance with pharmacy regulations and standards

- Manage inventory, ordering and stock control to ensure the pharmacy is adequately supplied and compliant with storage requirements

- Counsel patients on the appropriate use of over-the-counter medications and health products

- Collaborate with general practitioners, healthcare providers and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes

- Contribute to health promotion and disease prevention initiatives within the community

- Ensure compliance with therapeutic goods and pharmacy legislation, regulations and professional standards





- Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff and apprentices where applicable

What we're looking for

- Current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia and a valid pharmacy degree (Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent qualification)

- Demonstrated experience working as a Pharmacist in a community pharmacy setting

- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, drug interactions, contraindications and therapeutic applications

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively counsel diverse patient populations

- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and information systems

- Sound understanding of pharmacy legislation, regulations and professional obligations in Victoria and Australia

- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands

- Commitment to continuing professional development and staying current with pharmacy practice standards

- Previous experience with Webster packing, medication synchronisation or health screening services would be advantageous
