We are looking for an assistant accountant for our long established accounting practice in Buderim QLD.

We are a boutique firm of 4 people currently and we are needing to add to our team.

The position is part-time, with a minimum of 20hrs per week, with additional hours to be negotiated with the right applicant, if requested. This could also develop into a full time roll in the future. This is an in-office role, not work from home.

You will be performing the following tasks under supervision of the Principal Accountant:

- Preparing tax returns for individuals, investors & sole traders

- Preparing financial statements & tax returns for small business entities

- Preparing business activity statements for small business entities

- You will need to be flexible in your expectations, as no job is too small for anyone in our firm.

What we require from you:

- Experience with accounting software programs - MYOB,



Quickbooks & Xero

- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office

- Qualifications should be at least an Advanced Diploma in Accounting or Bachelor Degree in Accounting

- 2 years minimum Australian public practice experience

- Strong organisational skills & attention to detail

- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn current things

Position remuneration will depend on qualifications and experience and is provided as a guide only.

There will be a probationary period of 6 months, at which time your performance will be reviewed.
