About the VFF

The Victorian Farmers Federation is the peak body representing Victoria's farmers. We advocate for our members, build a strong and connected agricultural community, and champion the industry across the State.

About the role

We're looking for a driven, relationship-focused sales professional to grow our membership base. You'll proactively sell VFF membership to farmers, agribusinesses and industry stakeholders, manage a disciplined sales pipeline from prospecting through to conversion, and help farmers understand the real value of belonging to the VFF.

This is a hands-on, target-driven role that combines outbound sales, event attendance and field engagement across regional and rural Victoria, with an office base in the Melbourne CBD.

You'll report to the Director – Membership and Marketing, and work closely with our Regional Engagement Representative, Media and Communications Manager, Digital Campaigns Specialist and Policy teams.

What you'll be doing

- Proactively selling VFF membership through outbound calls, in-person meetings, events and digital channels

- Achieving individual sales targets, KPIs and revenue budgets

- Managing a sales pipeline using CRM tools, from first contact to conversion

- Identifying upsell, renewal and cross-sell opportunities to grow member value and retention

- Attending Branch meetings, Field Days, forums and seminars to build face-to-face relationships





- Maintaining accurate sales records and reporting, including updates for the Board

What you'll bring

- A proven track record in sales, with demonstrated ability to hit targets and KPIs

- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills across a varied demographic, including government and corporate stakeholders

- Experience in membership sales, marketing or engagement

- Confident written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking

- High attention to detail and solid organizational skills

- The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision

- A current Victorian driver's license and willingness to travel extensively across the State, including overnight and after-hours work

- Availability to work from our Melbourne CBD office three days per week for the duration of this fixed-term role

Desirable

- Experience in agriculture, membership or the not-for-profit sector

- Familiarity with CRM systems (SwiftFox), telemarketing or membership sales software

- Knowledge of Victoria's farming community and regional stakeholder networks
