ABOUT THE ROLE

The Quality Coordinator oversees quality assurance processes and compliance with procedures across Perth. This role ensures that all products and processes meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements, with a robust focus on welding and fabrication quality.

This is a hands-on role with practical application on the workshop floor.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Minimum requirement of Certificate III – Fabrication or equivalent (Cert IV highly regarded).

- Weld Australia Welding Supervisor AS2214 or AS1796 Cert.10 or higher – desirable.

- WTIA IWI Certificate – desirable.

MUST HAVE

- Sound working knowledge and experience with Welding Procedure Specifications.

- Understanding of ISO 9001, 9606 and 31000.

- Minimum 2 years' experience in the heavy steel fabrication industry.

- Experience and knowledge of mining attachments including buckets, blades, and trays – desirable.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel and word skills.





- Good accuracy and attention to detail.

PRIMARY DUTIES

- Assist in the review, implementation, and monitoring of national quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards.

- Assist in coordinating and conducting internal audits, supplier assessments, and third‑party inspections.

- Assist in collaborating with regional teams to standardise quality practices.

- Analyse data and prepare reports on quality performance and trends.

- Support, review, and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection Registers, and quality documentation to support fabrication activities.

- Ensure correct processes and procedures are in place to oversee welding inspections and ensure compliance with WPS, welder qualifications, and client requirements.

- Oversee all welding activities and regularly inspect to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards such as AS1554.1 - 5, ISO 9001,9606, 31000, and client specifications.
