Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused HR Driver to join our transport team in Smithfield, Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Heavy Rigid vehicles to complete local metro deliveries, maintain vehicle safety standards, and represent the company professionally with customers and site personnel.

Key Responsibilities

- Metro deliveries — Complete daily runs across Sydney, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.

- Vehicle operation — Safely operate HR trucks in compliance with NSW road laws and company policies.

- Load management — Secure, load, and unload freight using correct manual‑handling techniques.

- Documentation — Maintain accurate delivery records, run sheets, and pre‑start checklists.

- Customer interaction — Provide friendly, skilled service at all delivery and pickup locations.

- Safety compliance — Follow WHS procedures, report hazards,



and ensure vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.

Requirements

- Valid HR licence (NSW) with a clean driving record.

- Experience in HR truck driving, ideally in metro or multi‑drop environments.

- Physical capability to handle manual loading/unloading when required.

- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.

- Understanding of WHS and load‑restraint regulations.

- Vehicle is not a automatic it is a split shift gearbox

Desirable

- Forklift licence (LF).

- Experience with pallet jacks, tail lifts.

- Knowledge of Sydney metro roads and industrial areas.
